Details

Cinnamon is an aromatic spice extracted from the bark of the cinnamon tree (Cinnamomum). Two main types are known: cassia cinnamon and Ceylon cinnamon. Cinnamon has a sweet, warm flavour and is widely used in cooking to flavour a variety of dishes, drinks and cakes.

Cassia cinnamon has a stronger and more bitter taste, while Ceylon cinnamon is milder and sweeter.
